A Significant Step In Bridging The Gap Between Theory And Practice

EcoClub 360 in collaboration with Africa Climate Collaborative - University of Ghana, Legon, empowered over 300 participants including students and teachers, with the necessary knowledge and tools for climate action at West Africa Senior High School (WASS) in the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.

The Executive Director of EcoClub 360, Ms. Patience Ahiabor, speaking on the theme "Empowering The Next Generation Through School-Based Waste Management Programmes" emphasized the significance of combining practical experience with research and theory in ensuring effective learning for enhanced and innovative climate solutions.

The Chairperson for the occasion Ms. Harriet Lomotey, Director of Education, La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Education Directorate inaugurated an environmental club as peer leaders to champion sustainable initiatives on campus.

The club was presented with colour-coded bins for waste segregation and recycling/upcycling activities towards a circular economy.  Also present were the school authorities, and Mr. George Asare, a member of EcoClub 360 Steering Committee.
